Onze volgende stop op de Portugese Route 66 is Vila Real. Onderweg naar en in deze stad kom je prachtige kerken en archeologische sites tegen. Een verplichte stop is een picknick in de tuinen van Casa de Mateus. Een adembenemend zomerhuis ontworpen door Nicolas Nasoni. Bonus: je kan er ook genieten van het uitzicht over de Dourovallei.
