Description Marsh blazing star, in the Asteraceae (daisy or aster) family, is a clump-forming perennial that typically grows 3 to 6 feet tall. It is native to the eastern United States and is most often found in moist areas or growing in meadows. In NC it is found in the coastal and Piedmont areas.

To plant Liatris Corms (similar to a bulb), you dig a small hole about 3 " deep. Plant the corm in the hole, with the stringy fibrous roots facing down. Back-fill the hole, so that the top of the corm is about 1″ deep. Amend with compost while back-filling. A small Liatris Corm, broken off from the main clump.
